Valorant California servers 50+ ping

I'm having the same issues. Although mine has been happening over the last year. California is the closest server and in the past I was at 27 ping or so. Now it hovers over 50+. It's as if Comcast changed something. And what's really weird is sometimes it has once changed back to around 27 ping on patch days of valorant. I am pretty sure it's Xfinity side but it'd be nice if there was some further investigation since all my friends who also live in Utah that have Comcast/Xfinity are having the same issues.

Hey @user_410c65 this is not the type of experience we want for any of our customers. I am will make sure we get this resolved right away. Is there any troubleshooting steps you've completed on your end? -Lamont

Well I've restarted the router, tried switching dns servers, set valorant to high priority, switched out Ethernet cables. It's a really weird situation but it is only happening to Xfinity customers in Utah. It's also saying Texas is the lowest ping server with 40 and that shouldn't be right. It is creating a divide here that Xfinity customers can't play the game with friends who don't have Xfinity because of ping difference. Obviously the game is playable but I'm just here looking to better the experience and hopefully get a fix for others having the same issue as well. Any fixes you have in mind besides the ones I tried?

Gotcha. Thanks for sharing. I am familiar, but it should not affect whom you play with. I would love to try a few steps together.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

See https://comca.st/3KQF8q9r for an example.

I no longer work for Comcast.

Thanks for all the steps you've tried to address the connection issue. Are you experiencing the same troubles on multiple games or just one online game? Also what game are you having trouble with? -

It's called Valorant and im not sure if it's all games or not but it's very noticeable in this specific game. I have noticed in other games that it connects me to servers that are farther away than my location. For example when I played apex legends there is a server in salt lake city which is very close to me but the game decides to connect me to different servers. It just seems like my connection thinks I'm somewhere else entirely. For Valorant specifically all my friends that have Xfinity have the same issues that I'm having.

Thanks for sending over a peer to peer message. I will make sure we try to improve the connection. To get started may I confirm your first and last name?

I no longer work for Comcast.
