Username when logging into route returns: "Incorrect name !"

Im trying to login into http://10.0.0.1/ and am “Incorrect user name!” error.    Ive tried my account email, account username and WiFi network name.    I can get into my Xfinity account just fine.   I’ve confirmed that all the names I’ve used are typo free and what is listed with Xfinity.  I’ve confirmed that WiFi password is correct.

Thanks ... doesnt work.  This is what I've tried:

admin/password - does not work

admin/[wifi password] - does not work

[Xifnity user name]/password - does not work

[Xifnity user name]/[wifi password] - does not work

I already have the WiFi name set up, I already have the wifi password set up.  What Im trying to do is get into the router to see if I have any ports blocked what would be preventing the connection of a device to it.

Hi, @Wisailer! I hope this message finds you well. How is everything working for your today? Were you able to try unplug or hard resetting the device to see if you were able to log into the admin tool?

Have you first tried power-cycling / re-starting the device by unplugging it for a minute ? No joy ? Try hard resetting the device to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear (or use the WPS button if it doesn't have a reset button hole) for 30 seconds. This can sometimes clear up some weird behavior issues. You will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch if you do the latter.

Good luck !
