user ID and password are known but gateway refuses the user ID
I am trying to get into the gateway via Chrome. It asks for my user ID and password, which I have verified by going to My Xfinity, but the gateway refuses the user ID. I tried the user ID on the label on the side of the gateway itself and I tried "admin" but nothing works. Will a reset of the gateway reset the ID to that printed on the label?

Adding to @CCAndrew
They asked: " Will a reset of the gateway reset the ID to that printed on the label?"
The default creds will be the ones on the label after a factory reset to defaults.
