Urgent: Significant Billing Overcharges for Basic Internet Plan - Need Resolution
Issue Summary
I've been a customer with Xfinity for several years, but I'm reaching out because of serious billing issues that have gone unresolved despite multiple attempts to fix them through regular customer service channels.
I originally signed up for a basic 50 Mbps Internet plan at $19.99 per month. However, without my consent or proper notification, my bill has increased dramatically over time:
- First increased to $53/month for 8 billing periods
- Then to $56/month for 11 billing periods
- Finally to $62/month for 5 billing periods
The total amount I've been overcharged compared to my original agreement is $870.24.
Previous Resolution Attempts
After numerous attempts to reach customer service, I finally connected with a live agent who acknowledged the error and promised I would receive credit to compensate for these overcharges. Despite this assurance, I have only received minimal credit so far - nowhere near the $870.24 I was overcharged.
My Request
- I'm requesting a full explanation for why these unauthorized price increases were applied to my account
- I expect a complete refund/credit of the $870.24 overcharge amount as promised by your customer service representative
- I need confirmation that my plan will be returned to its proper pricing moving forward
This situation has been financially stressful and feels predatory, particularly since these charges were withdrawn from an account I had limited oversight into. I've been a loyal customer and expect Xfinity to honor its commitments and pricing agreements.
I would appreciate an Xfinity representative contacting me directly to resolve this matter promptly.
