UPNP keeps getting turned off every couple of days but sometimes (rarely) last several weeks!

I need to use UPnP or sometimes called Device Discovery.

I have read many posts about this issue.  I use port forwarding for one computer for PLEX but I have two PLEX computers/servers and port forwarding only works for one computer on a Local Network.  So UPnP is the only option for the other.  Once UPnP is enabled, I need to check every day, which is not easy when you travelling.

The only official solution that I've seen from Xfinity is to buy another modem and operate the Xfinity modem (XB8) in Bridge Mode. Is this still the official solution?

Hello, @user_rd25a8 Xfinity gateways with Advanced Security enabled may periodically block ports used by UPnP to protect your network. Xfinity's gateways absolutely support having multiple active port forwarding rules at the same time. You can create rules for your Plex server, a gaming console, and any other smart home or server applications simultaneously but the set-up rules are strict.

This might be a little beyond our scope, but I found you can have more than one port forward active on your router at the same time, but Plex itself only uses one single port for remote access. The only restriction is that two different devices cannot share the same external port. For example, you cannot host two separate Plex servers on your network and try to port forward external port 32400 to both of them. The router would not know which server should receive the incoming data.
