Upload Speeds did not increase after new modem

I received an email from Xfinity that uploads speeds  were increased if had an eligible Modem.   I purchased a Hiltron Coda 56 which was included in the compatible list in the email.  I activated the modem and ran a speed test and my upload speeds remained the same 14-17mps range.  Is there some other step I am missing?  The just said to upgrade the modem.

Thanks

... Hiltron Coda 56 ... my upload speeds remained the same 14-17mps range. ...

There are additional requirements for higher upload speeds besides having an approved device, see https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/wiki/knowledgebase/next-generation-internet/ and https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/upgraded-areas-leased-equipment-required-for-upload-speeds.

Thank you for the quick reply.  I think my issue is that I’m on an old plan (extreme pro +).   I’m in Minneapolis, and a have an approved modem so that just leaves the plan. I wish Xfinity would have included the links you provided in their initial email .
