Upload speeds are low after they did service area updates

My current internet plan is 2 Gbps download / 30 Mbps upload. I am getting the 1.4-1.8 Gbps download, but my upload speed is stuck at 30–50 Mbps, which is far below the 300 Mbps I’m paying for and have contractually agreed upon with Xfinity.

I am using Xfinity’s XB8 equipment and have also tested on a wired connection. The issue persists, which indicates it is not a local networking setup issue.

Can you please check my line provisioning and confirm that my XB8 is correctly configured for 2 gbps download and 300 Mbps upload.

If there are any signal or account provisioning issues, please let me know the next steps. Thank you!

user_cykt22, thanks for reaching out to Xfinity Support concerning your upload speeds. We can take a look at your account and see what is causing the slowdown.

Please send us a DM with your name and address.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.

2. Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.

3. Click the “Start new conversation” (pencil and paper) icon.

4. In the “To:" line, type “Xfinity Support”.

5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.

6. An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:" line.

7 Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

8. Press “Enter” to send it.
