upload speed

My upload speed stinks! I lease an XB8 directly from Xfinity on the 1 GB tier, and this afternoon when the tech was here to look at why my upload speed was only at 3.19 mbps, he claimed that he made an adjustment that got my upload speed to 61.02 mbps. Since I'm in the Nashville, TN, area, I just retested using the Comcast Nashville, TN server, and my download speed is 939 mbps, and my upload speed is 3.47 mbps. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. The company that my daughter works remote from home requires a minimum upload speed of 10 mbps, and her connection is subject to testing at any time by her company. If she fails to meet or have this fixed, then she is subject to writeup or even termination by the company! Come on, Xfinity! What gives? Are you throttling our speeds? Why does the upload speed only register faster when your tech is here at the house? I am VERY upset!

I understand how important your services are to you as they are to me as I also to work from home full time and any service issues will cause a headache not only to not be able to assist my customers but prevents my kids from getting school work done and being entertained while I am working!

I want to make sure we are respecting your time and not repeat the steps you have taken previously. Is your daughter using a VPN on her work computer? What additional troubleshooting steps have you or your daughter taken? Since you have our Gateway you can test the speeds to the Gateway using the Xfinity app (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/test-speed-to-gateway-xfinity-app)
