Upload speed

I switched my cable modem from Netgear CM1000 to CM3000 today. I noticed that my upload speed did not significantly increase & was still capped at 30 mbps under Xfinity 1G plan. Is there anything I can do to boost my upload speed?

user_8me2h3 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfintiy Forums! I definitely understand the frustration if you were expecting your upload speeds to increase. When you log into the Xfinity app do you see that your upload speed should be more than 35 Mbps? Also have you tried any troubleshooting in the Xfinity app to send a provisioning signal to the new modem?

Thanks for your advices. How do I send provisioning signal to modem via Xfinity App? BTW, my equipment profile from Xfinity website still shows my old CM1000 serial number.

@user_8me2h3 If you are still seeing the old modem's serial number I'd like to get a closer look at the account to confirm that the equipment is added correctly to the account. I'll need to have you send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address so I can access the account details. 

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon 
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window   
Press Enter to send it
