What is the model number of your modem or gateway? Only a few are compatible with the new higher upload speeds. You need one of Comcast's newer rental gateways (XB6, XB7, XB8) or one of the few retail devices shown in the "Next Gen Speed Tier" group in the "All Compatible Devices" PDF linked near the bottom of https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices (at the moment it points to https://assets.xfinity.com/assets/dotcom/projects/cix-4997_compatible-devices/2024.09.18%20Full%20List%20of%20Compatible%20Devices.pdf, but this changes from time to time).

@user_p0883h When you're seeing the slow download speeds, how are you performing the speed tests? Are you seeing the speed issue on multiple devices and connections? What troubleshooting steps have you taken from your end? The Xfinity Assistant within the Xfinity app is a great solution for knocking the basic troubleshooting steps and questions out of the way. Once you have the Xfinity app open navigate to the Services tab and select the troubleshooting option under the Manage Wifi option.

I check my speed through, https://www.speedtest.net/ and also through my Asus router and I get consistently low upload speeds (around 41 mbs). I am using the XB8 Xfinity modem in bridge mode. I do have Asus XT8 mesh network. I did the trouble shooting through the Xfinity app, but nothing changed.

You've mentioned download speed in your initial post and now are referring to upload speeds which could be a multitude of factors with recent improvements to our nodes. Certain accounts need a billing code added to their account that the automated process missed whereas some of the time it is the equipment as @BruceW that is affecting the upload speeds. Have you done a speed test through the Xfinity app to see what we're seeing hit the modem?

My apologies for my misunderstanding as the title states upload speed but you directly mention download speed never getting above more than 41 Mbps. Let's have you bypass the router and connect directly to the XB8 and run a few speed tests from different devices on the 3rd party site you mentioned along with the Xfinity app. This will help determine if the router is the culprit to your speed issues.
