Upload Speed

So I recently upgraded my internet speed from 100 mbps to 1200 mbps. I got the new modem and set it up. I tested the spend and the download is pretty good! But the upload is almost the same as my previous speed. I called customer support and they said that was unacceptable and that I should be getting at least 30! So they’re sending me a new modem that’s brand new. Will this really help? If not, how can I get better upload? I need it for what I’m trying to do and I’m getting very frustrated.

Yikes, I know that not getting the proper upload speed would be really frustrating, especially if that was what you made the move to the Gigabit speed tier, @user_9ce54b. Can you please let us know if you are using a hardwired connection to check the speed, ie: connected via Ethernet directly to the gateway? Is there a VPN (Virtual Private Network) in use?

FWIW, that would affect the download speed more so than the upload speed because the download speed is so much higher. If one can't even get the upload speed, they will never get anywhere near the download speed... Something else is going on...
