Upload speed not faster as promised

A few months ago, Xfinity informed me via email that my UPLOAD speed had been upgraded from 6 Mbps to 20 Mbps. However, despite multiple modem and device restarts, as well as speed checks across various devices, my upload speed remains unchanged at the original 6 Mbps. Xfinity’s online chat conducted automatic checks and assured me that the connection was healthy and offered no solutions. Yet, I’m still not getting the promised speed. My DOWNLOAD speed of 1000 Mbps works fine, ruling out connection quality issues. It seems like an Xfinity issue where my upload speed hasn’t actually been updated in their system.  ***How can I ensure I get the upload speed I’m paying for?***  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

BearBearr Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forum I would be happy to dive into this upload speed issue with you. A tech appointment maybe needed to complete the process of the upgrade. To get started, please send our team a Direct Message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account.

To send a "Direct Message" message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
