Upload speed less than 1/2 of what it should

Last week I got xfinity internet. The plan I got was 1gb down and 110mb up. I am only getting 40mb up. I am using the xb8-t modem. Why is this not giving me my full upload speed? I actually need my upload speed as I self host. I have my own cloud from my home that works through my internet so upload speed is incredibly important. I have rebooted the modem, everything i can think of. This is becoming very annoying

Hello tcripe497 👋 I appreciate you being an active member of our community with your post, and you're in the right place for help! I'm always gaming online, so I definitely know the importance of having my upload speeds as fast as possible at all times. Aside from rebooting the modem, have you by chance been able to do any troubleshooting via the Xfinity app?

It's great at diagnosing and resolving a lot of common speed problems, so it'd be a good place to start if you haven't already 👍 You can find more information at xfinity.com/support/articles/internet-connectivity-troubleshooting.
