Upgrading existing modem to Xfinity wireless gateway

Existing customer with owned modem.   I’m thinking of upgrading to the wireless gateway with a new Xfinity plan.  The equipment comes with it.    Once I activate it, can I use the existing home network name and password?  It is a strong one.
