Upgrades to 1GB speed online

I chatted online and upgrades to 1GB speed on 7/15 and was told that since I already have the new model that is compatible, the service should start within 6 hours.  After waiting for 24 hours, still no go. Called Customer Service to see what's going on and now was told that it would take 1-2 days. Waited 2 days, still nothing.  I spoke with Comcast again and they tell me now that the system shows the service start request was 7/25 (which I never requested).  They needed approval to start the service early today on 7/18. They send me a link to approve and when I look at the order details, it was not what I ordered and was $13 more on price.  The CS told me to approve and I can call comcast later to adjust. No way I was going to do this as I have neen burned by Comcast so many times and I don't need more issues and aggravation. I am basically waiting for my contract to expire so I can run away as far as I can. However, my internet connection kept dropping in between my conference calls and was unbearable. Xfinity internet is very unstable and slow. When I called they said that a speed upgrade would fix it but they can't even get a simple change like that right.  I am glad that I had printed a copy of the confirmation page when I upgraded so I can bring this to the Xfinity store and show them as proof as it seem that the plan in thier system is different than the print out confirmation I have in hand. Con artists!  I would keep away from Comcast as there are many other options now to chose from (Cell phone providers, etc...)
