Upgraded Xfinity plan from 500Mbps to 1200Mbps but still showing 500Mbps.
Hello,
I upgraded my Xfinity Internet plan today from 500 Mbps to the 1.2 Gig (1,200 Mbps) plan. However, my internet speeds are still only reaching around 500 Mbps, which is the same as before the upgrade.
I have already:
- Restarted my computer.
- Confirmed that my new plan appears on my Xfinity account.
- Tested my speeds using multiple speed test websites.
Also something weird is on my Xfinity app if I go to the Services tab,Internet, under it, it says "Download speeds up to 500 Mbps" but once I go to my plan it says 1200Mbps.
Could you please check whether my new plan has been fully provisioned or activated on your end? If there is anything else I need to do, please let me know.

If you haven't already, try rebooting your modem.
