Upgraded to XB7, still not seeing above 25Mbps upload speed.

I returned the Nighthawk CM2000 and installed and provisioned an XB7 cable modem. I am still not seeing better uploads than 25Mbps, plan is Extreme Pro Internet (Hartford, CT area)

I logged into my accout on the web, and you're still showing me as having the CM2000 installed, rather than the XB7 Gateway, so I'm suspecting something got fouled up in your database when I provisioned the XB7 (running in bridge mode.)

You’re going to need xfi complete as well to get the upgraded upload speeds. At least for now anyway.

@SRTology Why does my service say 1G down, 100 up, if I need some other type of service?

That’s simple, it’s in the fine print. I call it bait and switch etc. it’s not technically illegal. You do have those speeds if you have their setup.

For example I’m on the x2 plan. That’s 2 gig down and 200 up. It clearly states in small print that I’d need a xb8 modem and xfi complete.

The upload speeds are there if you have the full Xfinity setup. If not you’re only going to get the upgraded download speeds. Xfinity stated they will eventually allow the better upload speeds on 3rd party modems and without xfi complete eventually. Eventually isn’t right now though.

What's sad is that we've seen the snippets here and there that you need their plan and equipment but that support seems to have 0 clue that's the case.
