Upgraded to Gigabit x2 Plan but only getting 40Mbps upload speeds.

Hello, I upgraded my plan to the Gigabit x2 plan but I do not get faster upload speeds and am still limited to 40Mbps. I've rebooted my modem 3 times and I can see that only 4 of the 8 upstream bonded channels are locked. Can you help me activate my expected 300Mps download speeds? I'm attaching a screenshot from my cable modem.

Hi there, @user_ssw8aq! Thank you for reaching out about getting the enhanced 300 Mbps speed with Gigabit X2. We are excited to offer that speed and want it working great! Resetting the modem was a good step to try and get the correct bootfile to come through. I have a couple of questions so I can best assist you.
Do you have a modem that is compatible with the enhanced speeds? The correct bootfile will not come through without one.
Do you use a separate router? I find it best to unplug a separate router from the power if you have one while the modem is provisioned. Once the modem resets and is back online, the router can be plugged back in. The router will sometimes intercept the signal so it looks like it processed on our end but the modem never got it.

... Gigabit x2 plan ... still limited to 40Mbps ...

What is the model number of your modem or gateway? Only a few are compatible with the new higher upload speeds. See:

Realize that although Comcast calls some devices "Compatible" and some "Recommended", for all but a few devices those designations only mean "compatible/recommended for use with their Internet service", and not necessarily approved for the new upload speeds.

You need one of Comcast's newer rental gateways (XB6, XB7, XB8) or one of the few retail devices shown in the "Next Gen Speed Tier" group with an upload speed rating in the "All Compatible Devices" PDF.  Also see the Reddit link, which lists the approved devices as well as other requirements for faster upload speeds.

Comcast could make all of this much simpler and clearer, but they have chosen not to do so.
