@va2124 - Do you actually have an Arris branded device or an Xfinity's XFI ADVANCED GATEWAY (XB7) ?

The Arris TG4482A is not on The List of approved BYOM devices for the "Next Gen Speed Tier", and it looks like it's not on their list at all.

Well, it was supplied by Xfinity, but that's how the modem identifies itself when you log in to it.

I don't know how you got to the web page you specified … AFAICT, CGM4331COM isn't on the list of approved modems either.

The picture of the XB7 is what my modem looks like - is it capable of connecting to Xfinity's network at 2 mbps - I mean on the DOCSIS side, not the ethernet side (which I know is capable of 2.5 mbps). I think calling this thing capable of 2.5 gbps because it has a 2.5 gbps ethernet port is a bit disingenuous - the real speed bottleneck is probably on the Xfinity network side.

It's currently in bridge mode connected via 2.5 mbps ports to my Netgear Orbi RBR850's WAN port on a high speed ethernet cable. When I speed test out of the RBR850 I get 1480.76Mbps/92.46Mbps after a modem reboot - this eliminates my network as the speed bottleneck.

This tells me that the provisioning has already gone through (see the uplink speed), but the modem can't handle above 1.5 gbps speed on the connection to the Xfinity network.

@va2124 - Sounds like you have Xfinity provided XB7 Gateway, (and the list of approved modems is for BYOD or what Xfinity calls COAM),

based on their information page XB7 has "Maximum Data Throughput: 2.5 Gbps", and if you think its not good enough for your service, you could try exchanging it at the local Xfinity Store for an XB8. 

Please keep in mind that they don't assign your Cable Modem dedicated bandwidth, it's all shared with your neighbors, but the fact that you are getting the speeds you are getting, I would be happy!
