Upgraded from 500 to 1gig

I have recently upgraded from 500mbps to 1gbps but i am not seeing the speed upgrade and its been a few days now.

I have restarted and tried to work with xfinity chat and even support. I have verified that my equipment supports 1gbps speeds. I am doing the tests wired connections. I have replaced my coax cables as well.

What speed are you getting now?  Is it any better than before?  I was on 400Mbps and paid for upgrade to 1gbps, and found my speed never went above 550 - 600 mbps.  After 6 months, I just decided to downgrade to 500Mbps and my speed went down just a bit to 525Mbps actual.  So my guess is my neighborhood just does not support higher speeds.  Xfinity was not able to do anything about it and said I was still getting all the benefits of 1Gbps even if speed test showed slower.  Go figure.

OK you are not going to be able to get gig speed with that model as it's not compatible according to them. They rate it for 957 Mbps; https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices#details

They will never push the gig speed configuration file to it. As a matter of fact, it may even default down to an even slower speed file than 500... You need to upgrade to a compatible modem. Look at their approved modems site here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices#auth
