upgrade gateway
Hi, I recently added a wifi-connected home security system that includes 4 HD cameras. It seems to have maxed out my XB6 gateway, because the only time I am able to stream video from those cameras over the wifi, is when nobody is at home (when there are no other users on the network.) Would a gateway upgrade to XB8 help with this issue?

I am curious about your issue so I would like to hear the answer as well. I am no expert but I'm not sure it is the modem as much as it is the speed tier you are in. each device takes some of the band width and if you are in a slow speed tier the HD cameras seem to be eating all the band width.

Hi, @user_a5b70e, we can certainly take a look at your current internet speeds compared to the number of devices typically connected. This would indicate that an increase in speed may be needed, however, I always like to troubleshoot the current device to ensure the connection is performing optimally before attempting to add more devices or services.

Upgrade speed it's not the modem. HD takes a lot of bandwidth

I could be wrong, but I don't think internet speed is the issue. I'm already at highest tier and it's testing at 1200+Mbps. I think it's just the local throughput capability of the wifi network (managed by the gateway)
