I just upgraded my modem but I am having problems getting my Ps5 to connect now and I have it connected by ethernet cable to what they used to call a storm ready but now call a pro wi fi extender anyway I'm thinking that  maybe it needs to be updated but can't get anyone who will talk about it...they don't seem to know.its their equipment but I had no problems with connecting my ps5 on the old modem but I do now with the updated one so what can I do as I play every night with friends and am having to miss it HELP

Hi there @user_iq0iis! It’s definitely frustrating to miss your nightly games, especially after upgrading to new equipment. Since you’ve recently swapped your modem, the Wi-Fi Boost Pod (formerly Storm-Ready WiFi) likely needs to be re-synchronized with your new gateway to recognize the Ethernet connection for your PS5.

Here is what you can do to get back online:
  1. Re-pair the Extender: Open the Xfinity App, go to the WiFi tab, and select "Troubleshoot a Pod." Since your gateway changed, the extender often needs to be removed from the account in the app and re-added as a "new" device to establish a fresh handshake with the new modem.
  2. Power Cycle the Chain: Unplug your new modem, the WiFi extender, and your PS5. Plug the modem in first and wait for it to be fully online. Then plug in the extender, wait for the light to stay solid, and finally turn on your PS5.
