Unstable and low speed

I have a NETGEAR Nighthawk CAX30-100NAR Router. This router is on the recommended list by Xfinity. I'm on a 1000 Mbps plan; the router should give me speeds in the range of 800+. On average, the real speed is around 100-150. Sometimes at night, it rises to 500-600. But it happens very rarely. I have tried all the recommendations. The speed is consistently much lower than it should be (less than 5-6 times). What should I do?

see if there is a firmware update for it , if this is something new then its a comcast issue and they will say its your modem , have them test the line other wise i would down grade to 150-300mbs , i was bumped up to 2gb was mostly 500-600mbs and 3 times it got up to 900mbs  , 500 was good for 2 months till they did something

Hi there, @user_a6d8id Oh no, I'm truly sorry for the slow internet speeds you are getting. Since it's been a few days since you posted last, are you still experiencing slow speeds? If so, please reach back out so we can get you taken care of.-Richard

... CAX30-100NAR Router ... on a 1000 Mbps plan ...

Note that the CAX30 gateway is not compatible with Gigabit service. Comcast/Xfinity rates it for use with plan speeds "up to 949 Mbps". See https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices.
