Unreliable internet - blinking orange on Gateway
Hello, we just had cableTV/internet service restored yesterday after a tree fell in a storm and severed our line from the pole.
Since the repair we've had unreliable internet from our mesh network (ORBI) which is connected via Ethernet to the Xfinity Gateway.
I noticed that the orange light at the Ethernet port on the back of the gateway is blinking when connected to either the ORBI router on directly to a computer.
I read somewhere that the blinking orange light after a power outage (which we also had) could mean that something needs to be reset or reconfigured.
Can someone help me with this issue?

Hello @user_djg61, I do see where we worked together previously on that downed line, so I'm glad you were restored. But an unreliable connection is definitley not ideal, especially these days with how connected we all are. When you say unreliable, is your connection intermittent, or are you seeing slow speeds? Is this issue only happening over a hardwired connection or are all of your devices experiencing the issue?

@user_djg61, Thank you for the clarification, context, and trying those troubleshooting steps on your end. If your intermittent connection continues after disconnecting your router, can you please provide an update? This is always a greatly great step to take in order to fully understand the scope of the issue. Also, is this a consistent intermittent connection, or have you noticed any patterns to when the issue arrises?
