unapproved modem - frustrated

Hey,

I made the mistake of not checking with the list of Comcast approved modems and now I have this Arris Touchstone DG3450.

It is a really nice modem/router device. Is there anything that I can do to get it working with Comcast still? Could it possibly be approved eventually?

Nope, only approved modems can get added/activated. You’re going to have to go with a different model

FWIW, the OP's DG3450 and the TG3452 are actually two different devices that seem to be very similar. Just sayin'.

The modem/router I have tells you which cable systems it is compatible with (on the box and on the website.)  So far, every page I've found on the TG3452 doesn't claim compatibility with any system.  There is a listing for it on Amazon, but it is not sold by Amazon itself and it has ZERO Amazon buyer reviews.  I hope you bought it from someplace with a decent return policy.

Sorry - I must have copied and pasted the T-model from one of the pages I landed on.  However, the DG3450 listed on Amazon has no user reviews and the DG3450 page on Arris site didn't list any compatibility that I could find.

In fact, when I search for arris DG3450 on Amazon, Amazon lists a number of other Arris devices (which claim compatibility with Xfinity) before listing the DG3450 (which claims nothing).
