Two cable modems on same account
Can I run two cable modems in my house on the same internet cable account. I want to run a arris sbg6580 upstairs and a arris sbg8300 downstairs. Wifi extenders are down grading wifi signal too much for quality download speeds with us both working from home.
Thanks,
Dennis

Many systems will not allow two modems to be used at one address. It's best to call in to see what the local policy is. Even if they do allow it you will need to pay for two accounts (twice what you are paying for HSI now).

There's cheaper and more efficient ways to do that without having to pay for an extra internet account. For instance, you can string a long ethernet cable down to where you need it to go, with an ethernet switches to connect multiple devices at the other end, or a wireless access point if you need WiFi.
