Trying to get 2 gig speed paying for

I have fiber internet. My optical network terminal has power in, fiber in, and cat out.   (unlike normal cable "out")  I have the xb8-t 2 telephone ports/3 one gig ports/1 2.5 gig port (marked in red), and one cable "in" .  Correct installation is from OPT to xb8-t with cat cable provided by installer . This is plugged into xb8-t into red 2.5 gig port.    The service i pay for is two gig.  I cant hard wire 2 gig?   Only option is to use wireless.   If it was a cable OPT then the 2.5 gig port would be open. Then I could use a network switch.   With a fiber hookup a different modem should be used.  Yes, I know wireless is an option
