Troubleshooting intermittent internet drops

Our internet intermittently drops and not sure of the cause. Sometimes only 5 to 10 seconds (but enough to cause my work VPN to drop and need to be reset), sometimes a minute. It is not just the VPN but other devices too. This has happened when hardwired directly to the modem too, so it does not appear to be the wifi router. It appears to be a problem with the WAN side of the cable modem to the headend. Comcast online help indicates through their automated scan of the system, that the system is ok, but since it is intermittent, by the time I get to comcast's website for troubleshooting, the internet is restored. I'm not sure if they are able to look at logs to see what caused a previous drop to occur, or are just looking at the current status of the modem and internet connection. All of the stats look fine on the ARRIS G34, but I found this interesting, there is very few unerrored codewords. Basically everything is correctable codewords. Is there any significance of this when troubleshooting the dropped connection? (All four pages of the log look about the same as the page below that I screenshot.)
