Trouble resetting modem

I can’t get a connection on my Arris S33 modem after briefly disconnecting it yesterday. I have tried various troubleshooting steps. The light is solid red with an occasional green flash and the modem has been making a sound for 15 hours like it’s trying to connect. Can a moderator try something on their end to reset?

Hey @FTTBay! If what I'm reading about that S33 modem is correct, I don't think there is anything they would be able to do and you might need to call the manufacture to have a replacement modem sent out if it's under warranty.

"The Arris S33 lights indicate its connection status, with Solid Blue meaning a strong DOCSIS 3.1 connection (best), Solid Green for a good DOCSIS 3.0 link, Blinking Green signaling it's scanning or searching for a signal (no internet), and Amber/Yellow suggesting firmware download or an issue like poor signal/hardware fault. A Solid Red power light, if persistent, points to a hardware failure, while a Blinking White light (often after amber) might mean boot-up or update issues."

Thanks. It is a solid red with a flashing green about every 10 seconds. It was working fine yesterday before unplugging it.

@FTTBay

Have you tried hard resetting it to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the bottom for 30 seconds ? This can sometimes clear up some weird behavior issues.

I tried it a couple of times, but the reset process didn’t occur. I will try again.

FTTBay, Please let us know how it goes. Have you also tried calling the manufacture to check on if the hardware is malfunctioning like @SolutionSpotter

awesomely suggested? We are happy to also review over the account to make sure there are no issues with anything on our end.
