Time Zone / Location error

I replaced my router & modem last week.  Ever since, my computer regularly tells me my time zone has changed, from Pacific to Eastern and back again.  No big deal on my home PC- I can turn off the feature to autodetect the time zone.  But on my work PC, this feature is administrator controlled and I can't turn it off, so I am pestered with continuous notifications of time zone changes.  How do I fix this?  The xfinity assistant just sent me in circles and said it didn't understand the issue.  Do I need to replace my new cable modem?

@user_5dwmyb Thanks for letting us know. What modem and router did you switch to?

It's a white one given to me by Xfinity.  PN is CGM4981COM, which the Internet tells me is an XB8, but I don't see that anywhere on the label.

@user_5dwmyb This is most likely a geolocation issue tied to the IP address on that modem. You can try swapping the modem out and see if that corrects it. But if it does not then you will need to get help through the 3rd party services that handle geolocation issues for IP addresses. More information on that here:
