Terrible modem won't let me connect new router

The terrible white obelisk refuses to supply my top of the line router with internet. I've used it in other locations with no such interference and simply need an Xfinity employee to let it do its job, and all this after the absolute nightmare of putting this godforsaken thing in bridge mode in the first place. Coax is connected and secure, I've power cycled all devices in all orders, horrible white obelisk displays steady white light, modem simply refuses to provide internet
