@user_0rww99 Thanks for adding to the community. As long as the modem works through wifi, you don't need a tech. You can connect your own router to do all the networking with Bridge Mode. Follow the steps here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/wireless-gateway-enable-disable-bridge-mode, and you can use your router successfully.
