Tale as Old As Time- Intermittent Connectivity Problems
My internet connection drops several times an hour for a minute or so. TV, phones connected via wifi, computer connected by ethernet, etc- anything connected to the internet cuts out. I can not join a work meeting, stream, or game without issues. Apparently they were doing maintenance in the area, according to a tech that came out two weeks ago, but I haven't seen ongoing maintenance and my problems have not been resolved. I did not have these issues before the maintenance was performed in my area. We have run a continuous ping for the past few days but Comcast is not interested in reviewing our logs. They have offered troubleshooting assistance but it has not fixed anything. They finally sent a technician to my place. He inspected/replaced the connections in my place and said everything looked fine and that there doesn't seem to be any reason for our intermittent connectivity.
Shouldn't there be logs of my internet's uptime that somebody can review so they can see the issue? I mentioned to support that this has been occurring ever since maintenance was performed and they brushed it off and did not look into it further. How can I escalate this issue to the proper channels? Calling support or having a technician to my place is not working for me because they run the basic checks and see that the internet is working and then do nothing further. They don't seem to care that the issue is intermittent. Every time I chat with customer support or call, if the internet pops back in they're like "Hey! Congrats! Your internet is fixed!"
Alas, it is not. I am still paying the same amount but can no longer work from home or play games online or watch TV. It is absolutely infuriating. Has anyone had success in remediating this? Does anyone know how to escalate or get customer support to care at all that this is happening? At this point I would gladly switch providers but there's no one else in the neighborhood.
