T3 errors in router event log after stormy weather
Hello,
After storms in the area my internet has become spotty and loses connection momentarily (20-30 seconds) every ~5-10 mins. Checking the event log in the admin console for my CAX30 router, I am seeing the following repeating errors:
- Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;,
- MDD message timeouts;
- DBC-ACK not received"
- CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 1;
- SYNC Timing Synchronization Failure
The downstream icon is usually blinking on the router when the connection is interrupted. The internet suggest that these DOCSIS errors are due to noise on the line or a faulty line connection leading into my unit.
Things I tried :
- I have tried factory resetting my CAX30 router; there was no change in this connection issue.
- Several reboots - same behavior continues every time.
- Firmware is up to date.
- I do not see any splitters in my unit and the direct coax connecting to my router appears to be in good shape and is firmly secured from the end I can access, so I believe this is an external line issue.
I want to reiterate that everything has been working fine with the CAX30 router for the past ~2 years I've had it, (previous router for worked well for ~5 years) and that this issues had started after stormy weather in the area.
Any and all help is appreciated as the constant drops are bad for a work-from-home environment.
Thanks!
