T3 and T4 time-outs, Loss of sync; Error codes 16 and 24; Downstream Power in the negatives and too high Upstream Power
I seem to have it all, some of it is new and some of it has been this way for months. I have a new MB8600 modem and Techs have come out twice already, with the last one checking all the lines at the house and on the post in the alley (which itself provides a straight run of cable right to my house).
I connect from the main line into an amplifier (Antronix RRA1-10 return amp) that was a suggestion in this forum, then directly to the modem from the amp.
The negative Downstream Power Levels and Upstream Power Levels that are too high are new since installing the amp; so let's ignore that for a minute...
With the same connections as above (minus the amp) I've had the same loss of connection multiple times a day, but with down/upstream levels that were within a healthy range. A Modem reset solves the issue for a few days, then it quickly degrades over a few hours the more the modem has to be restarted.
My typical pre-amp Error Log looks like this:
(1) No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=xcv;CMTS-MAC=abc;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
(2) SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;;CM-MAC=xcv;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
and repeat over and over....
With the amp I'm now getting the added Error Codes 16 and 24, plus the crazy downstream (-12.5 on avg) and upstream (53 on avg) levels and the following errors:
(1) Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out
(2) Unicast Maintenance Ranging attempted - No response - Retries exhausted
(3) 16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 4
(4) Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 time out
on repeat...
(5) CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 16; Chan ID: 32; DSID: N/A; MAC Addr: N/A; OFDM/OFDMA Profile ID: 1 2 3.;
(6) CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 24; Chan ID: 32; DSID: N/A; MAC Addr: N/A; OFDM/OFDMA Profile ID: 1.;

I forgot to mention that with the amp connected, I also have Corrected and Uncorrected numbers on each Channel in the 5, 6, and even 7 digits which is crazy high compared to every other screenshot I've seen on this forum.
e.g.
