Switching to a different cable jack

Backtrack through your house, possibly not every cable is hooked up (rarely is) to see what you can do.Or have a tech out with accompanying service charge

You'll have to see where the house cable feed is connected to your house internal wiring/jacks.  It could be you have multiple coax cables running from the external feed to different room jacks, but only one is connected.
