Switching from Century Link to Comcast Internet

Question

Do I have to disconnect my Century Link connection prior to installing my new comcast internet connection?  Re-stated:  Can I have two separate internet networks/connections.  I was told by Comcast rep to keep CL until I successfully get Comcast up and running.  However, my Samsung TV does not seem to be allowing me to do that?  Help!  Please and Thank You

Go ahead, for Comcast Internet  you just need one live coax outlet. Do you already have Comcast hooked up outside? It’s not plug and play

I think its hooked up outside.  I have received a bill!  The modem is plugged in showing appropriate lights lit up.  Wouldn't they have ensured it was hooked up before sending me a bill?
