Hey I was wondering how should I go about actually having a good experience while remote playing a PlayStation Portal. I’m not sure if I should upgrade speed and to what or if I should get a dead spot pod for my room I have a family of five so it’s about 10 devices and i noticed the connection works fine when they aren’t home

user_6j9ki7 Good morning, Happy Saturday! Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Community Forums Team. I have gamers in my house, so I totally get it. I'm happy to help get this ironed out. May I ask if you know the speed you are subscribing to?

@XfinityKassie Good morning and happy Saturday to you as well I’m currently using the 400mbps between me the kids the spouse and tvs it’s probably around ten devices connected sometimes and at times it does work but it disconnects a lot I just wasn’t sure if I should go more speed or is dead spot pod more the way to go.

user_Btowns207 Thank you! We are supposed to have pretty great weather today up here in the PNW. Thank you for sharing your subscription. This means you are probably getting an upload speed of about 35 Mbps. While 10 devices isn't much, if they are streaming it can have an impact on your connection to other devices. Do you have any other devices connecting in the same area that is having a problem with saying connected or the speed?

You mentioned the issue occurs when you're in your room, are you having the same issue when other folks are using the service and you're close to the modem and not in another room/floor? An additional access point may be needed if the signal in that room is poor. You can utilize the Xfinity app and our WiFi boost guarantee to potentially get yourself one of our free WiFi boost pods if that system finds you eligible. You are also able to purchase any 3rd party booster and connect it to the WiFi to get better coverage throughout the home or in specific rooms.
