Sudden Speed and Reliability problems

Hi

I am on the 2100/300 plan, but have had constant speed and reliability issues with our internet lately.

Doing a speed test its gets as low as 88.5mps download and on average 500mbps compared to being able to get 2.24gbps when I did a speed test in March.

At times upload speed significantly faster :)

I have tried restarting and checking all wiring and no change.

My setup is the xb8 bridged to a deco tp-link wifi. It always has been this setup for the longest time so no idea why the sudden degradation in service.

Help and advice appreciated.

My router keeps track of speed checks, see attached screenshots. As you can see the last time I got the correct speed was March!

for results.

Greetings, @softinio! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your connection speed, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Have you been able to test the speed from your gateway with any other devices besides the router, or have you done a speed to gateway test at https://speedtest.xfinity.com, by any chance? That should allow us to determine whether this is a signal issue or a potential hardware issue.

softinio Thank you for sharing the speed test. I'd like to take a look on our side, and see if there is something that could be causing this lag. Can you please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address?

Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
