sudden over usage of 1 TB within 4 days

Ive seen people complaining about this  but I also just got hit with false Comcast readings. Is this happening more often to people?

I got a message 4 days ago that I was at 75% of my capacity of 1.2TB and now its at 1.7 TB within 4 days. so a TB within 4 days or so? attached is my history and I rarely come close to it. Nothing has changed on my end, no new devices or usage was added. whats going on here? what can i do to resolve this? See that attachment of my usage history.

Hi, @Balneen14992. Thank you for your post! Can you do me a favor and check the devices connected to your network? Are there any new and/or unrecognized devices listed there?

Hi no there are not, I also reset the password but didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. the amount of usage in 3-4 days is unheard of (close to a Terabyte)

Have received the same notice, twice now, Nov./Dec., without any changes to network services. In reflection, the time frame aligns with network up grades in my area. I have  noticed some degrade of service, reflecting as delay in windows loading on some intent sites, however my speed test are constant and meet parameters.  Have not run details test to lock down issue.

@XfinitySheila​ no i have not. Im at 700 GB usage in 3 days of January and on pace for more than 7 TBs in 30 days. this doesnt make sense. what can I do? all this when I never used more than 1 TB in a given month

@Balneen14992, can you tell me more about the equipment you use? Do you use an Xfinity Gateway for your own modem and/or router?
