Storm fi and parental controls xfi

The parental controls don’t seem to work with Xfinity when they connect to pod or storm fi. How do I solve for this?  Ideas?

@TkOR1, I would be more than happy to assist you with your parental control related concerns. Are you saying that when a device is connected to an xFi pod the parental control options do not appear?

Yes.  They don’t work or show active time, so unlimited time and access. So I have to disconnect pod or storm fi so forced their devices to gateway.  Why doesn’t Xfinity work when they connect to pod or storm fi that is via gateway? Thank you

@TkOR1 Protecting our children online is very important not only to me but to our company. Here is a great article about setting up parental controls for your Xfinity Internet and xFi. Please review and let us know if you have any questions. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/set-up-parental-controls-with-comcast-networking

I already have it set up, so this doesn’t help me. It’s a new issue since adding storm fi device. Do you have a solution?

@TkOR1 I apologize about that, the Xfi pods and the Storm-ready Wi-Fi should still recognize any settings you have with the parental controls if the connected devices are identified/added to a user profile in the Xfinity app. The Xfi pods are an extension of your Gateways signal and not creating its own signals and the Storm ready works as an extender when not in use. Since both use the connection already provided by the Gateway as long as the devices in question are attached to a profile with a control set up any rules should apply. If you recently made changes to any devices make sure you update your connected devices profile in your Xfinity app. If all the devices in question are listed and assigned to a profile in your Xfinity app and the Controls are not applying please let me know.

No changes in the devices and all is updated, but it’s clearly not porting through. As says connected to that device vs the gateway.

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on someone else's thread can delay getting help.
