Starlink with XB8
Hi, I'm tryint to setup my Starlink to be a bridge and have it run my XB8-T when I have an internet outage (which happens after a few hours when I have a power outage). Currently, I have a 1 pin Cable line that goes into the XB8. Is there a way of having CAT6 Ethernet go into the XB8 to run the same network?
Thank you!

First of all I know nothing about Starlink, but I have used the xb8 as just a router bypassing the modem part, I used a mb8611 into a asus axrt86u into the xb8, I used a Ethernet cable to connect the asus to one of the xb8 Ethernet ports, nothing connected to the xb8 coax connector, it’s definitely not plug and play but works, if you look deep into the xb8 admin panel, there is a setting, docis or Ethernet, i believe default is both, it’s been a while, I have access to the admin panel, not grayed out, when I was experimenting plugging into different Ethernet ports on the xb8, a red message appeared telling me what Ethernet port I needed to connect to, that was no accident that it appeared, i used the asus router because I had more flexibility to manipulate the dns to make things work, I didn’t spend a lot of time on that project, but maybe you can get a idea from it… on a side note, Speedifycom is some software that can combine multiple connection sources, I have used Comcast and Verizon together…

Hello, @user_x3ptf3 thank you for taking time out of your day to create a post, you have contacted the right place for assistance. Yes, I do see the XB8 modem can be connected using the CAT6: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/get-most-from-xfinity-gigabit-internet-service.
