Sponsored and ad link blocking

My xfinity internet blocks all sponsored/ad/affiliate links and I always get "this site can't be reached .... might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently "

user_rn804e, Hi there! Thank you for spending the time out of your day to visit XFINITY for help with those sites getting blocked. You've come to the right place for help. Do you not want these blocked? Our modems use xFi Advanced Security. It’s like a complete security system for all of your connected devices to protect from malicious websites and hackers.

Hi there, yes I need these unblocked. I have a hard time often accessing websites I need to access for work and end up having to use my phone as ahotspot vs. using my xfinity internet. It's really inconvenient.

How can this be unblocked?

@user_rn804e I completely understand where you're coming from with this being an inconvenience. Our Customer Security Assurance experts due have a website you can visit to report a blocked website, I found this great article on our website that has some great information: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/report-blocked-website

From experience, I have found at times you may need to enter the website via an incognito window: https://spa.xfinity.com/advanced-security?faq=advanced-security. Once you're on the website, select the Advanced Security option, then follow the prompts.

Please let me know if that was helpful, or if you have any further questions I can assist with.
