Spike in data usage
I have just received a warning text/email from Comcast that my internet usage is now at 90% and it is only 17 days into the month. Over the last 12 months I have never gone over 1.2TB and have no idea why my use has gone up so much all of the sudden. Chatting through the app got me nowhere to help me determine why or by which device my use has increase so dramatically. I am blind to figure this out and Comcast so far has not helped at all to see why this anomaly is happening on my data use. Very frustrated as I do not want to pay $10 per 50GB and have no idea why with no details on why my use went up so much and no help from Comcast.

Hello, @IcemanTX , thank you for taking the time to reach out to us through the forum for assistance with your data usage. I can certainly understand being frustrated with usage that you are not familiar with. Luckily we have the solution you need, as you will still be able to see the data usage meter. As a reminder, if you are the primary or self-managed secondary account holder, you can find your usage meter by signing in to your Usage Meter page in My Account through our amazing Xfinity app. You will need to enter your Xfinity ID and password.
If you have a compatible modem, you could also download the Xfinity app to review usage through xFi where you would be able to see detailed data usage for each device.
A third option for X1 platform users is simply saying "Monthly Data Usage" into your X1 Voice remote control to have the information appear.
Lastly, if none of these options worked for you, we also have a Customer Security Assurance team, or CSA for short, that you can reach out to for specific usage information related to each device on your network. They can be reached directly at 1-888-565-4329.
I completely understand wanting to avoid potential overage charges as well, you do have the ability to set up data limitations on your network, and we can also look into adding the unlimited data feature to the account for you as well.
