Speed to gateway issues

Just passing this on…   I’ve been having issues with Xfinity internet and TV service for months. The TV would pause while we were watching or we would get error codes and have to restart the box.  I would lose internet service periodically and I was getting 1%-10% speed to my gateway of my 2Gb plan. I spent hours on the phone over the last few months with technicians trying to figure out the problem and can’t count how many times they asked me to restart my network.
On a whim I asked ChatGPT if it could figure out the problem and about 30 seconds later it told me what might be wrong, how to check, and gave me a solution.  I have one cable coming into the house to a two-way splitter, one output to the modem and the other to my TV box.  The splitter that was used (this was my fault, not Xfinity) was not capable of handling the 2Gb speeds. ChatGBT told me that I needed a digital coaxial splitter at least  5-1000MHz (2500 MHz even better) with about -3.5 db output loss and MoCa (??) compatible for Xfinity equipment .I was an EE major so I had some idea of what it was telling me.  It also recommended 3 different brands that would be ideal.
I removed the bad splitter that I had used, ran the cable directly to my modem, and now I’m getting 110% of my plan speed. All of this from, question to applied solution happened this morning between 5:00 and 5:20 am.
Any problems I I have going forward, even life-coaching, I will go to ChatGPT.  hope this helps anyone else having a similar problem with their ISP.

Xfinity Assistant, btw, is the most useless tool I’ve ever seen.
