Speed slower than usual and power levels low

Hi,

Had a power outage last month that lasted a day and my power levels have never recovered. used to be 7-9, now at 2. I know within spec. And speed tests have dropped from 800-900 to 300 on a Blast Plan (1200). S33 modem v1. Central PA.

The downstream power is fine. I would guess that it is a modem bootfile / speed provisioning issue. It gets re-downloaded to the modem after it powers back up from a power outage. Sometimes it's not successful. First, try power cycling the modem to pull a fresh configuration and see.

If not, I'll escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) who are available to these boards. They will be able to check that for you. Good luck !

Latest speedtest from xfinity was 264.3 on a

Gigabit Extra Plan

Download speeds: up to 1300 Mbps

Upload speeds: up to 35 Mbps

Upload speed is 40Mbps, so just affecting download. I don't see any stutter when playing back video so maybe I am just having a "not as advertised" issue and it's just me. Before the power outage speed tests were 700-1000 and power levels were 7-9

Ok, but what about the speeds ? The power cycle operation suggestion was to force the modem to redownload a fresh bootfile / speed configuration file, not to change the power levels. They are ok, as was stated.

From speedtest.net

Download Mbps 312.69
Upload Mbps 38.99
Fast.com - 210
Xfinity speed test - 353.9
So a lot slower than usual.
