SmartThings Wifi stopped working after Comcast Network Upgrade

I have Xfinity Internet.
Netgear CM600

SmartThings Wifi Router.

Everything was working just fine until Comcast upgraded the network. The neighborhood lost internet for about 6 hours during this time. When the internet came back, my Samsung SmartThing Wifi router just kept flashing a red light. I rebooted the modem and then the router and the same issue.

I connect my laptop directly to the cable modem and I was able to connect to the Internet. I don't see any setting on the Netgear cable modem that is causing the SmartThing Wifi router to not connect. I even reset the router and still the same issue

I am at a complete loss on how to fix the issue. Is there something on the Comcast side that is causing my router to not connect. Perhaps some cache needs to be cleared or something.

Really could use some help and guidance on this issue.

Thanks

Possible workaround. Does that router have a MAC address cloning feature ? If so, you can try cloning the MAC address of the laptop that works into it and see. Power cycle the CM600 again after you do the cloning. Good luck !

Thanks for your quick response. I have to research if the router has MAC cloning feature ( I highly doubt it). To get to the router and reboot it, I have to go to the Samsung cloud platform.

I installed my old Asus router and that works like a charm.

Samsung support made me reset the router a couple times but that didn't work. They escalated to level 2 and now say since it was working before the  outage, it's a network issue and nothing to do with their router. Sad.

@xaqtiv

Thanks for reaching out to us we do apologize for any issues you're having with your connecting your smart thing Wi-Fi router to you Netgear. But unfortunately we wouldn't have much information we could assist you on with your personal owned equipment with connecting your wifi router to your netgear modem, You would have to reach out to the manufacturers of those devices

the information that @EG  provided is another option to try
