Smart Bulbs Need 2.4 GHz....How Do I??

If you are using a Comcast supplied gateway device, the two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one. 

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the devices with the 2.4 band's SSID (broadcast name) and password.

Most all routers and gateways support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The devices should see what is available. Some people like to give the two frequencies different names so devices that can use either can be forced onto one or the other.

STEPS TO SETUP GOSUND WIFI BULBS WITH AN XFINITY ROUTER/GATEWAY 

STEP 1 - RENAME WIFI
1. BRING UP WEB BROWSER AND LOGIN TO YOUR XFINITY ACCOUNT.
2. GO TO "https://internet.xfinity.com/network".
3. OR USE THE xFi APP ON YOUR ANDROID DEVICE.
4. RENAME THE 2.4Gz AND 5Gz TO SEPARATE NAMES (Dont change password)
Example WiFi names
CANDY24 = 2.4Gz
CANDY5 = 5Gz

STEP 2 - GET PHONE AND APP READY
1. Connect your Phone or Android device to the your 2.4Gz temporarily.
2. Search Google Playstore for Gosund app and install.
3. DO NOT RUN APP YET.

STEP 3  - PREP GOSUND BULBS
1. Turn of light switch and insert bulbs in sockets.
2. Turn lights on/off three times leaving them on.
3. Bulbs should be blinking meaning they are ready to connect.

STEP 4 - LOGIN TO YOUR GOSUND ACCOUNT
1. RUN GOSUND APP AND FOLLOWFOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS TO SETUP ACCOUNT.
2. IF YOU HAD ALREADY SETUP ACCOUNT, LOGIN.
3. YOUR WIFI BULBS WILL BE DISCOVERED.
4. CHANGE THEIR DEFAULT NAMES TO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL LIKE "BEDROOM LAMP" ECT.
5. VERIFY CONNECTION WORKING BY TURNING BULBS OFF/ON WITH THE APP.

STEP 5 - CHANGE WIFI
NOW THAT SETUP COMPLETE, CLOSE GOSUND APP AND CONNECT YOUR DEVICE
BACK TO THE FASTER 5Gz WIFI. RUN THE APP, IT SHOULD BE WORKING ON THE 5Gz.

NOTE: MAINTAIN THE TWO SEPARATE WIFI NAMES IN XFINITY GATEWAY OTHERWISE THE
GOSUND APP WILL STOP WORKING.
