Slow upload speed with Hitron CODA56

Hello, I recently installed a customer-owned Hitron CODA56 modem to take advantage of the Next-Gen upload speeds in my area. My modem diagnostics show that it is successfully locking onto the DOCSIS 3.1 OFDMA upstream channel (status: OPERATE), but my actual upload speeds are hard-capped right around 45 Mbps.

It looks like my modem is still being provisioned with a legacy DOCSIS 3.0 bootfile or the correct billing codes for customer-owned mid-split equipment haven't been applied. Could someone please check my account coding and push the correct Next-Gen bootfile to my modem?

Hello @user_oyx5jm, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear you’re experiencing slow upload speeds. I know how frustrating that must be, especially after investing in a compatible modem expecting those improved speeds and not seeing the results. When running the speed test, are you hardwired to the modem or wireless?

@XfinityMarshante I ran the speed test on both wired and wireless and the results are the same every time. It’s limited to 45 Mbps.

I ran the speed test on both wired and wireless. Every time I ran it I got the same results. Limited to 45 Mbps upload. I know my modem and router can handle way more than that so I’m thinking that’s not the issue here.
