Slow speed, can't talk to an actual person
Hi. My speed test comes out at 9 Mbps. Seems slow. What should I expect? Haven't been able to talk to a real person. Their chat bot suggests that my modem isn't compatible, but it's not that old - it's a Arris SurfBoard SB6183. Any thoughts on whether I actually need a new modem? My router is new - Archer AX55. Thanks for any help!

Good morning @user_m67wks, and thanks for taking the time to report your speed issues to us. If you head over to https://www.xfinity.com/support/internet/customerowned and sign in, you should see if your modem is compatible or not. You can also use that link for future reference if you ever want to upgrade your modem. Have you done any troubleshooting on your modem/router?

FWIW. The 6183 does not appear on their approved modems list anymore, which means that it will no longer receive any firmware updates. See this They are gradually phasing out DOCSIS 3.0 devices. It's grandfathered in for now, but one day it will no longer function. It's becoming a Dinosaur.
